On a need to know basis...

LXD at the Oscars

When I was watching the Oscars Sunday night I almost leaped out of my seat! I was so excited to hear that LXD was performing. It was absolutely amazing. If ya'll missed it, here it is!

LXD performance at TED2010 finally released!

We've been waiting a while for this-! Amazing stuff! Very nice breakdown of individual styles, still can't wait for the Web series...

Academy Awards

Counting down the days and hours until the 82nd Oscars on Sunday? Well, join the club! How could anyone forget? I’m pretty sure over the past two weeks I think it’s the only entertainment news I’ve seen over the internet and every time I turn my T.V. So unless you’ve been living under a rock or have a life, you know that the award show is on Sunday, March 7th on ABC at 8 EST/ 7 CST. Should be an interesting show, a lot of “firsts” this year for the Oscars. Like, will Kathryn Bigelow be the first woman director to win for Hurt Locker? (Get it girl!) There have only been four women, including Bigelow to even be nominated under the category. Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin will host the show; the first time ever there are two hosts.  Don’t miss out because for the next month, I believe that is the only thing people will be talking about.

Innovative Art

I stumbled across some innovative art while I was looking for something to write about. And since we’re all about being different and unique here at Shoeture, I thought I would pass the artist’s name along. Ibraheem Youssef. He’s a Toronto based Designer and Art Director. He just did a collection of Tarantino Tributes, which are amazing! Check out his website! http://ibraheemyoussef.com/

Oh, Los Angeles

Living or even visiting in Los Angeles can sometimes be overwhelming. Too many places to go and people to see! But with great food and night life it's all worth it! Here are a couple of new suggestions to check out!

Are you sick of going to the same places and eating the same thing? Well, why not hit up Midtown Lunch blog? They just recently expanded their horizons to no other place then, Los Angeles. No surprise there! The blog has different suggestions and reviews of where to hit up if you’re looking for some good grub. You can search by name, location, and even food type! How great is that? Check it out at, http://midtownlunch.com/los-angeles/

And if you’re looking for a night out on the town in the 90210, none the less... you’re in luck! The new Plush Ultra Lounge and Bar 210 just recently opened their doors in Beverly Hills. Check out the article, it also has pictures! Let me know what you think!  http://bhcourier.com/article/More_Local_News/More_Local_News/Plush_Nightclub_Opens_At_The_Beverly_Hilton/65806

Got Sole?

Calling all sneaker heads. . . There is a new website that will let you buy, sell or trade sneakers, for no fee at all! All you have to do is sign up using your email or Face book connect. (The wonders of technology these days!) You can search by size, style, price and brand. The best thing about the website is, if you don’t like the price listed you can make the sellers other offers. The assorted kicks range from Puma, Nike, Converse and even my favorite, Supras.
